Mykin is Married 4-24-2010

Well, my niece is the first to get married (out of all the nieces and nephews) on both sides of her family. She had a beautiful wedding today and I enjoyed spending the day with her. This picture is of her and Jon first coming out of the temple as husband and wife.
This picture is with Jon's parents and Mykins parents all sharing kisses...

Hey, lets switch places for a moment. I will be the Groom and you be the Bride. :)

April 13, 2010 - Alissa's First Birthday

Alissa turned one year old today and mommy and daddy celebrated with a party. Immediate family and close friends came over to celebrate Alissa's big day. Of course the best part of the day was watching her eat the cake and she smashed it into her face. Here are some other pictures of her fun day.

Our next door neighbors, Robert and Barbara Connell, gave Alissa
this Mu Mu purchased from their vacation in Hawaii.

April 4, 2010 - Alissa's First Easter

Last Easter was the day before Alissa was born. We found out on Friday, April 10th that Alissa was on the way and we were going to be her parents, but she wasn't due until April 22nd. Easter was on Sunday, April 12, 2009 and so we celebrated the future arrival of Alissa that day. Easter night, the birth mom's water broke and Alissa was born the next day. This year is Alissa's first official Easter and she is almost 1 year old. It was a day full of fun and celebration.

We started out at Grandma Diamond's house and Alissa received two Easter baskets, one full of treats and one to store eggs during the Easter Egg Hunt. Mommy helped me hunt for eggs while Daddy took pictures.

Then, I got my picture taken with my cousin Rosemary, who is about 4 months younger than me. Don't we look cute in our Easter dresses?

Then, I went to Grandma Smith's house and she gave me a Cabbage Patch doll that I adopted. Mommy even had me sign the adoption papers to make it official. :)

But, what I wanted more than the doll was the dolls binki. I tried putting it in my mouth, but it didn't feel right. Mommy gave me my own binki and I was happy.

But, after such a long day of fun, I was tired. I fell asleep in the car on the way home. I was cuddling with my new adopted doll just like mommy cuddles with me. :)
