2-14-11 Valentines Day Princess

Alissa is our Princess and she has made Valentines Day the most special of all. While I enjoy time alone with Steve, I also enjoy the fun times Alissa brings to my life. Steve got me some beautiful roses today and I love him for that. However, it takes a sweet child to bring back the memories of passing out valentines cards, eating more candy than normal, and sharing a special day with friends and family.

We spent Sunday night signing Alissa's name to each valentine card and attaching a cherry, heart shaped sucker to each. We also delivered some special Valentines to Alissa's cousins (Heber, Rosemary and Mako) and Alissa's friends (Giovana, Noah, and Madison). Then we filled Alissa's new valentine mailbox with the cards for her daycare friends so we would be ready for the next morning. On Monday morning, Mommy got Alissa dressed in her new valentine outfit, gave Alissa a sucker for the road, and took a few pictures. We left at 6:50 a.m. to ensure we would have plenty of time at the daycare to pass out Alissa's cards.

After mommy and daddy got home for work, we visited both grandparents and received some special valentine gifts to include a little bucket with cookies and playdough from Grandma & Grandpa Diamond; and some coloring books and a teddy bear from Grandma and Grandpa Smith.

The holidays are so much fun with a small child to share them with. Steve and I are very blessed to have Alissa and we are very grateful for her. :)

February, Friends, and Fun

The first event in February consisted of Tom & Michele's annual Superbowl Party. Here are a few pictures of Alissa enjoying herself at the party:

February also consisted of the birth of a new baby girl, which resulted in a visit and playtime for Alissa. Here is a picture of the happy new family and Alissa playing with her little friend Sofia.
