Puzzle Time

Alissa and I were unable to see Grandma and Grandpa D. for Valentines Day so we decided to take them to lunch on Friday, instead. While we were visiting with them, Grandma & Grandpa gave Alissa this new puzzle for Valentines Day. Alissa was so excited that she immediately put the puzzle together after getting home from lunch. Since this was the first time Alissa has ever put together a bigger puzzle, I helped her sort the pieces into "outside" and "inside pieces". Alissa did the rest of the puzzle all by herself (with a few periodic hints and tips from me).

Valentine's Day

The week of Valentines Day was super fun around our house. Over the weekend, Alissa made all her valentines for pre-school, family, and friends. We purchased some princess Valentines that came with gummy hearts and gave them to her pre-school and daycare friends.

Alissa made these special valentines for her cousins
and grandparents. We useda black stamp pad and made
hearts out of Alissa's fingerprints.

Mommy let Alissa use a Valentine box that she made into a car years ago. Alissa took the box to school/daycare so the other kids had a place to put Alissa's Valentines. In the morning, mommy and daddy gave Alissa some special Valentine treats to include a little snow globe, a box of chocolates, some cups, and a ring pop. Daddy purchased some flowers for mommy (behind Alissa in the pictures). Mommy gave daddy some tickets to the play, "Kicking the Hobbit, Bored of the Rings."
